Volleyball API documentation
A REST API over HTTPS for indoor and beach volleyball: live scores, results with every set, rally-by-rally points and player figures, from world championships and tours to national leagues, since 2001. 21 endpoints, one JSON shape, one key.
Your first call
Get a free key with a Google sign-in, then ask for yesterday's results. The free key needs no card and gives 50 calls a day.
# Yesterday's results curl "https://api.volleyballapi.com/v1/results/yesterday?per_page=2" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $VBA_KEY"
$q = http_build_query(['per_page' => '2']); $ch = curl_init('https://api.volleyballapi.com/v1/results/yesterday?' . $q); curl_setopt_array($ch, [ CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER => ['Authorization: Bearer ' . getenv('VBA_KEY')], CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => true, ]); $res = json_decode(curl_exec($ch), true); print_r($res['data']);
import os, requests r = requests.get( "https://api.volleyballapi.com/v1/results/yesterday", params={"per_page": "2"}, headers={"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['VBA_KEY']}"}, ) print(r.json()["data"])
const res = await fetch("https://api.volleyballapi.com/v1/results/yesterday?per_page=2", { headers: { "X-API-Key": process.env.VBA_KEY }, }); const { data, meta } = await res.json();

The basics
Use with Claude and agents
The agent skill teaches Claude, Cursor and other agents how to use the Volleyball API: getting a key, the calls that answer common questions, the limits and the errors. Pair it with the MCP server so the agent can make the calls itself.
Save it as ~/.claude/skills/volleyballapi/SKILL.md, or upload it as a skill in Claude's settings. Agents also find it at /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json.
