What counts as a call
Simple to count, easy to plan for.
One request, one call
Whatever you ask for, up to 200 rows a page. A whole day of matches is one call.
Some calls are free
/v1/usage is never counted, and neither is any answer we fail to give or a 429.
Limits on every answer
X-RateLimit and X-Quota headers say what is left and when it resets.
No surprise bills
Going over returns a 429 with the reset time. Nothing is charged for it.
Nightly results sync
One call for yesterday's results, one for each day you missed.
Live score widget
Polling live matches every 15 seconds for four hours a day.
Full history download
Every match since 2001, 200 matches a page, in one run.
Pricing questions
Before you choose a plan.
Can I start without a card?
Yes. The free key needs only a Google sign-in and works straight away, with 50 calls a day.
What counts as a call?
Every request to the API counts as one call, whatever page size you ask for. Calls to /v1/usage are never counted, and neither are answers we fail to give (5xx) or 429s.
What happens when I use my allowance?
You get a 429 with the time it resets, and every answer carries quota headers so you see it coming. Nothing is ever charged automatically for going over.
Can I change plan at any time?
Yes. A new plan applies from your next call, with its limits in the headers straight away. You can move down or cancel from your account at any time.
Do keys move between plans?
Your key stays the same when you change plan. The plan belongs to your account, so every key on it gets the new limits.
Can I use the data in a commercial product?
On the Live, Archive and Complete plans, yes: apps, sites, betting and fantasy products, media and graphics. The terms set out what you may show and redistribute.
Is yearly cheaper?
Yes. Paying yearly costs ten months, so two months are free: Live is $390 a year, Archive $390 and Complete $790.
Why is Complete the best pick?
It has everything Live and Archive have together, for $79 a month against $78 for the two separately, and comes with 5 times their calls and twice the rate.
What will I see on my card statement?
Charges appear as DEVELOPERDATA.NET. For anything about a charge, use developerdata.net/support.
